This 2-day training course teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue. It is ideal for staff at every level and provides learners with the confidence to start a conversation about mental health and signpost a person to appropriate support.
Our accredited two-day Mental Health First Aid course empowers participants to become certified Mental Health First Aiders. You’ll acquire:
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health and its determinants.
• Practical skills to identify signs and triggers of mental health issues.
• Confidence to provide initial support and reassurance to those in distress.
• Enhanced interpersonal skills, including empathetic listening.

Suicide First Aid: Understanding Suicide Interventions
Mastering Suicide Intervention
Participants in this course will master:
• The ability to identify signs indicating potential suicide.
• Confidence to intervene and construct suicide-safety plans as initial aid measures.
• Proficiency in offering support to individuals in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts.
• Knowledge of language that destigmatizes conversations surrounding suicide.
• Skills for conducting supportive discussions with individuals seeking safety from suicide.

• Confidence to provide assistance to those in distress or experiencing suicidal ideation.
• Knowledge of language that destigmatizes discussions about suicide.

Format: Opt for online or in-person delivery, spanning 3.5 hours, with all course materials available digitally.
Learning Approach: Participate in an instructor-led live session featuring group activities and discussions.
